2026 marks the 200th anniversary of photography. To honour this historic milestone, LumiTolia Photography Awards returns to the origins of photographic vision — paying tribute to the world's first photograph, View from the Window at Le Gras.

This year's theme, The 200th Frame, invites photographers to reinterpret the idea of "a view from the window" — exploring the relationship between light and shadow, the threshold between inside and outside, the power of framing, and the act of observing the world through a defined opening.

Theme

The 200th Frame brings together two centuries of photographic history through a single metaphor: a window. A window is both a boundary and a beginning. It reveals and conceals. It witnesses and interprets.

The LumiTolia Photography Awards 2026 jury consists of five independent experts from the international photography world. These photographers, each a specialist in their field, bring together a diverse range of perspectives and expertise.

The jury assesses submissions on technical excellence, narrative strength, originality, and the conceptual relationship to the theme. Each member reviews independently, followed by a collective final evaluation.

De jury van LumiTolia Photography Awards 2026 bestaat uit vijf onafhankelijke experts uit de internationale fotografiewereld. Deze fotografen, elk specialist in hun vakgebied, brengen een diverse reeks perspectieven en expertise samen.
